Barbara Chauvet

Barbara moved from France to Canada in 2019 and has been a full-time tutor since. She founded Je Parle French to meet the growing demand for French tutoring and to share her experience and love for teaching with other tutors. With over 10 years of experience, Barbara teaches all levels and has developed learning programs and materials to support her students on their language journey. Barbara offers the following classes: - Exam preparation (TEF/TCF, DELF/DALF, AP French, SLE) - Online private lessons (kids and adults) - Online group lessons In-person group lessons (Victoria only)

Charlotte Hoareau

Charlotte was born on Réunion Island and moved to Canada in January 2022. Before that, she spent over 7 years in South Africa, where she perfected her English. With a background in journalism and over 6 years of experience as a bilingual writer, Charlotte now works as a freelance copywriter and content strategist. After moving to Canada, she noticed the need for French lessons, especially for immigration purposes, and decided to help. Leïla Rochdi

Leïla was born in Rennes, France, and moved to Canada in 2024. She has lived in Australia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, and traveled around the world, which fuels her love for sharing French culture and language. A Chemical Engineer by profession, Leïla taught Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for many years in New Caledonia. Passionate about teaching, she has been a French tutor for over 20 years and adapts her lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. Sana is a French language instructor currently teaching at the University of British Columbia (UBC). With over 10 years of experience, she has taught in both corporate and academic settings, including Berlitz and customized coaching for professionals across various fields. Her approach is interactive, personalized, and grounded in real-world communication, making her lessons both practical and engaging. Marianne Ollitrault

Marianne moved to the West Coast in 2021. She began her career in French diplomacy, where she honed her communication and cultural skills. With over 10 years of tutoring experience, Marianne is passionate about helping others learn and shares her love for the French language daily. She is also involved in theatre and enjoys all forms of performing arts. Alexandra Kardas

Alexandra was born in France and moved to Canada in September 2020, after living and traveling in different countries. As a French tutor, she helps students feel more confident in their French skills. In addition, she is a certified yoga teacher and wellness practitioner, passionate about empowering others.
